Mr. George Georghis
Undergraduate and graduate studies at the faculty of Philosophy, Athens University (BA in History and Archaeology, 1972 and PhD in Diplomatic History, 1994). Cultural Attaché in Greece (1982-1993, 1997-1999) and Director of the House of Cyprus in Athens (1987-1993, 1997-1999). Detached Researcher at the Cyprus Research Center and Visiting Research Associate at King's College London (1994-1996). He has taught Political and Diplomatic History and History of the Cyprus Question at the University of Cyprus (1996-1997). He has collaborated with the postgraduate programme of the Department of Mass Media, Athens University (1998). His research interests include: Diplomatic History, History of Greek-Turkish Relations in the 19th Century, History of Cypriot and Greek political parties, Modern Cyprus History, especially the National Movement (1878-1959).
Mr. Georghis is currently an assistant Professor at the University of Cyprus.
